Is Health Insurance a Right? Why did the Republicans lose?

Now with Obama re elected the Affordable Healthcare Act will not be repealed and put on the back burner. I don't see affordable universal health insurance as a Right, I see it as a benefit to being a citizen of a civilized advanced thinking society. We have the resources to accomplish this and you rich people should stop worrying about the damn money (everybody worries about money until death comes knocking and they realize time and health is what's really important) . Those with so much should contribute a little to those who have nothing or very little. What kind of world do we want to live in? A world where bitter rich people hate the lower income people and continue to think they are superior? Or a world where we do the right thing and stop being assholes? 

Why did the Republicans lose? Maybe next time try running a human being with a heart as a candidate, instead of someone who hates 1/2 the country and thinks lower income hard working Americans are all freeloaders.
